Pear class week 4 popcorn
This morning our Year 1 children headed down to the Forest School site, each choosing a special leaf along the way. We talked about Autumn and the beautiful changing colours. Once at the site, we took a mindful moment to blow gently onto our leaves and share what we liked about them, before learning which tree they had come from. The children then threaded their leaves onto sticks to make their very own leaf kebabs! 🍁🍃 The woodland was soon buzzing with activity – we learned how to make God’s eyes using sticks and wool, created more leaf kebabs, and got busy with clay, shaping it into all sorts of imaginative animals. We noticed how the conkers had changed and wrinkled, making them trickier to drill – but that didn’t stop us having a go! 💪 Some children helped chop wood for the fire, while others had fun making zip lines for their toys in the trees. 🔥 Today we enjoyed a 10-minute fire and cooked delicious halloumi with rosemary, popped popcorn, and of course had hot chocolate ...
