Beech and Pear class final Forest school session

 This morning, our Year One children braved the chilly weather and wrapped up warmly for our last Forest School session. As we arrived at the woodland, the fire was already crackling away, setting the perfect scene. We began by sharing a lovely Christmas story and chatting about our Christmas Eve traditions. Then, the children got creative making eco-friendly reindeer food and enjoyed exploring the woodland. Much to their delight, someone spotted that Mrs. Sunderland had hidden candy canes! A thrilling treasure hunt followed, with everyone eagerly searching for their own sweet treat. Some children also decorated wooden discs to create beautiful Christmas tree ornaments. Around the fire, we sipped on spiced mulled apple juice warmed over the flames and toasted marshmallows—well done to all who tried the festive drink, even if it wasn’t everyone’s favourite!
